01Verify before disclosing or releasing
Use the current custody and release process to verify the vehicle, requester identity, ownership or authority, required records, payment status when applicable, and release approval before sharing a location, key, personal property, or vehicle.
02Document condition and movement
Record vehicle identity, condition, photographs when authorized, key status, inventory location, movement, release, personal-property handling, and material discrepancies under the assigned process.
03Control keys and access
Protect keys, gate access, records, passwords, customer information, and restricted areas. Do not lend credentials, bypass an approval step, or move a vehicle merely because a visitor demands immediate access.
04Work safely around vehicles
Identify moving vehicles, blind spots, unstable surfaces, weather, lighting, slips, trips, batteries, fluids, sharp damage, lifting equipment, and customer traffic before entering a work area.
05Communicate release limits
Explain confirmed requirements without inventing charges, legal conclusions, ownership decisions, police instructions, release eligibility, or a guaranteed outcome. Escalate disputes through the responsible process.
06Report hazards and incidents
Promptly report an injury, threat, damaged vehicle, missing key or property, record mismatch, spill, unsafe equipment, unauthorized access, or other condition that requires a stop, supervisor review, emergency response, or documentation.
