01Identify the exact garage and vehicle position
Give the property name and address, correct vehicle entrance, level, section, stall, nearest column or elevator, ramp direction, one-way pattern, and a map pin for the entrance—not only the building's street address.
02Confirm clearance along the complete route
Report every posted height at the entrance, gates, ramps, pipes, signs, beams, sprinklers, speed humps, transitions, and level changes. Garage signs can describe a maximum entrance height without proving clearance at every interior point.
03Describe turns, ramps, and working space
Tell dispatch about steep or crowned ramps, tight switchbacks, low overhead turns, narrow aisles, parked vehicles, columns, wheel stops, curbs, gate arms, dead ends, and the usable space in front, behind, and beside the vehicle.
04Obtain property access and traffic control
Identify the garage manager, security desk, owner, tenant, facility, or other authorized contact; confirm gate access, loading rules, elevator or pedestrian concerns, temporary aisle control, fees, operating hours, and whether the vehicle may be moved.
05Qualify the vehicle and initial movement
Explain keys, power, steering, brakes, transmission, electronic parking brake, drive type, locked or damaged wheels, low clearance, collision condition, charger connection, and whether the vehicle can roll. The first move out of the stall may require a different tool from road transport.
06Confirm the extraction and handoff plan
Dispatch and the operator must determine whether compatible low-clearance equipment can enter, whether the vehicle must be repositioned to a transfer point, which towing method is approved, how the garage route will be protected, and whether the destination accepts the vehicle.
