Call live Kansas City dispatch at 816-588-8888 for current availability.
Local dispatch starts with the exact pickup
Downtown Kansas City requests can involve the I-35, I-70, and I-670 loop, closely spaced ramps, one-way streets, transit-only lanes, the KC Streetcar corridor, office and residential garages, hotels, loading zones, construction, events, and public or private parking. Give Kansas City, Missouri; the exact roadway, direction, cross street, building or garage; a safe static pin; and every height, gate, lane, curb, event, or property-access restriction.
Tommy's accepts voluntary, owner-authorized Downtown Kansas City towing and roadside inquiries for live review. Tommy's is not on the police rotation and this page does not claim City-ordered towing, a downtown office, a truck stationed downtown, a municipal-garage contract, KC Streetcar affiliation, venue partnership, unrestricted curb access, or guaranteed availability. Dispatch must verify customer authorization, lawful pickup access, equipment, timing, destination, and price before assignment.
Road environments around Downtown Kansas City
Downtown Loop, ramps, and roadway levels
I-35, I-70, and I-670 form closely spaced movements around downtown. Give the signed route, direction, ramp or mainline, upper or lower roadway when shown, nearest exit, barrier side, and whether police or traffic control is present.
Streetcar and transit-only lanes
Main Street and connecting streets include streetcar tracks, stops, pedestrian activity, and restricted transit movements. Do not stop, stage, or load on tracks or in a restricted lane; report the nearest lawful curb, cross street, and current traffic-control instruction.
Garages and underground access
Provide the garage name and public entrance, posted height, level, stall, ramp slope, turns, gate or ticket procedure, power status, wheel condition, and a property contact. Entrance clearance alone does not prove that equipment fits the complete route.
One-way streets, curbs, and loading zones
Give the exact block, travel direction, curb side, nearest cross street, legal stopping space, bus or loading restriction, construction barrier, and whether the vehicle can move. A building name alone may point to several entrances.
Events, closures, and managed access
Conventions, concerts, parades, sports events, and construction can close streets or control garage and curb access. Use the City's current closure map and follow police, traffic-control, venue, garage, and property instructions.
Hotels, residences, offices, and private property
Name the building, public entrance, valet or security contact, garage or surface lot, unit or stall when appropriate, gate process, owner authorization, and a lawful loading point that keeps emergency and service access clear.

Pickup, destination, mileage, garage or property access, roadside materials, loading or recovery work, waiting, event traffic, tolls, storage, and required equipment can affect the estimate. Questions drivers ask
Does Tommy's have a downtown office or guaranteed downtown service?
No. This is an independent voluntary-service guide. Dispatch must confirm customer authorization, lawful access, equipment, availability, destination, estimate, and assignment for the exact pickup. Tommy's does not claim police-rotation or City-ordered tow status.
Can a regular tow truck enter my downtown garage?
Not necessarily. Provide the posted height and complete route, including entrance, ramps, turns, pipes, signs, gates, level, stall, vehicle position, and loading room. No equipment fit is guaranteed online.
Can a truck stop beside the KC Streetcar or in a transit-only lane?
The website grants no such permission. Report the exact track, stop, lane, curb, and cross street, then follow current City, police, transit, and traffic-control directions. Dispatch must identify a lawful and safe approach.
What if an event or construction closes my usual entrance?
Use the City's current closure information, notify dispatch immediately, and obtain property or event instructions. Do not direct a truck through a barricade, pedestrian zone, restricted loading area, or closed street.
Can Tommy's remove a vehicle from a private downtown lot?
Only an authorized, lawful request can be considered. This page does not claim private-property impound authority, a property contract, or police rotation. Dispatch must review ownership, property authority, access, custody, and applicable law.
How much does a downtown tow cost?
Price is job-specific. Dispatch must confirm pickup, destination, mileage, garage or curb access, loading or recovery, waiting, event restrictions, tolls, storage, and required equipment before assignment.
